Meaning:

Break up

Meaning:

  • To end a romantic relationship.

  • If people break up, they stop having a relationship or stop working together.

Example:

  • They decided to break up after five years together.

Get along

Meaning:

  • To have a good relationship with someone.

  • To have a friendly relationship with someone.

Example:

Go out with

Meaning:

Look up to

Meaning:

  • To admire or respect someone.

  • If you look up to someone, especially someone older than you, you respect and admire them.

Example:

  • She has always looked up to her older brother.

  • He'd always looked up to his uncle.
